Toronto Civic Literacy Collaborative project – 2nd Engagement Event

The 2nd year of the TCLC project focused on engaging the Chinese community on the federal elections. We recruited 16 community leaders to organize 2 engagement events, including a trip to MP offices (Sept 19). At the second engagement event we had presentations on Chinese Canadian history and knowledge on how to vote and the different levels of government.
Story Circles: on Chinese Identity and Sexuality discussion forum

Through discussion, interactive games, and presentation, we invited Chinese-identified parents, adults, and youth to share their personal journey on the issue of Chinese identity and sexuality. We had a panel of speakers to lead the discussion which was enlightening and informative.
